1- Wadi Weida’a – Hiking in Jordan – The Dead Sea
A lovely and easy-to-reach canyon,
Wadi Weida’a is a nice area for a family outing and those who enjoy waterfalls and an abundance of vegetation in a unique rocky desert landscape near the Dead Sea.This is a short wadi walk through juniper, oleander, reeds and palms with a beautiful grotto and waterfall at the end of the trail.

2- Wadi Numeira Siq Trail – Hiking in Jordan – The Dead Sea
This extraordinary Wadi is famous for its hanging rock at the beginning of the trail and the magnificent and long narrow passage through the rock formation (also called a Siq).
The wadi is also known as “Water Petra” or Wadi Hudeira by the local Bedouins. It is an easy walk into a truly spectacular Siq with clear flowing water and massive walls that obscure the sky.

3- Wadi Mukheiris Formation Trail – Hiking in Jordan – The Dead Sea
Located in the middle of the Dead Sea hotel area, this wonderful wadi is not far from Amman.
You will be rewarded with palm trees, water cascades, freshwater crabs and lush vegetation in this surprisingly beautiful wadi.
The wadi is easy to navigate once you are past the flood defense system.

4- Wadi Mujib Siq Trail – Hiking in Jordan – The Dead Sea
Located near the Dead Sea in Jordan, the Wadi Mujib Siq Trail is a great water adventure during the hot summers. Life jackets are provided by the park.

5- Wadi Mujib Malaqi Trail – Hiking in Jordan – The Dead Sea
This trail is in the famous Wadi al-Mujib valley in the Mujib Nature Reserve. This is not a self-guided tour. The trail is managed by the RSCN.
You need climbing equipment to descend a 30 meter/ 100 feet waterfall (provided by the RSCN) and you can enter the reserve only with a guide.

6- Wadi Himara Panorama Trail – Hiking in Jordan – The Dead Sea
This is a short wadi walk with juniper, oleander, tamarix, caper and palms plus an incredible view at the end. It is a great place to have a picnic and absorb one of the best views of the Dead Sea from a beautiful and infrequently visited location.

7- Wadi Himara Palm Trees and Waterfall Trail – Hiking in Jordan – The Dead Sea
This is a short wadi with red cliffs and a scree slope with palm trees, juniper, oleander, reeds and capers.
You will rock hop along a stream with small waterfalls and pools. The trail ends at a small waterfall.

8-Wadi Attun Hot Springs Trail – Hiking in Jordan – The Dead Sea
This relatively demanding trail leads to natural hot springs, palm trees and waterfalls in a relatively unknown wadi near the Dead Sea.
Surrounded by high cliffs of red stone and has an abundance of ferns and other vegetation.

9-Wadi Assal – Hiking in Jordan – The Dead Sea
Wadi Assal provides a full day of hiking with waterfalls, unspoiled nature, diverse wildlife and a beautiful narrow canyon (Siq) near the Dead Sea.
Wadi Assal is as diverse a wadi can be with an abundance of oleander, tamarix and acacia near the wadi’s stream with the occasional freshwater crab and hidden springs.

10- Wadi Al Karak Waterfalls – Hiking in Jordan – The Dead Sea
The Wadi Al Karak Waterfalls Trail is in a beautiful valley near the Dead Sea with waterfalls, spectacular cliffs and a fairyland of greenery where the water pours from springs.
It follows a sandy river bed and involves frequent wading through a shallow creek. There is plenty of bird life, especially during spring.
